The Ernest Carpenter is family owned and operated small business, and we appreciate the opportunity to serve you. Ran by a wife and husband team, we can offer a perspective and expertise that many handyman companies cannot.
Ernest is a skilled carpenter with 25 years of varied carpentry and handyman experience, including painting, light plumbing and electrical, feature walls, and interior and exterior trim carpentry, and finishing work, and more! Mandi has been in the construction and infrastructure industry for over 20 years, with experience in juggling project management on larger scale projects, like full basement finishes.
We have the expertise to help you with your varied home improvement needs, or just tackle items on your Honey-Do List. We're insured, and have quick availability. From painting, to carpentry and nearly everything in between, including light plumbing, and electrical installs, we can make your next remodel a breeze!
Ernest was a Senior Installer at The Closet Factory for nearly a decade. He assisted in the design, and completed the install of 1000's of custom closets, desk units, pantry's, garage units, and more. As Senior Installer he was responsible for installing high-end designs in multi-million dollar homes, multiple Parade of Homes installs, as well as to the annual Colorado Garden and Home Show. If you have a closet system or garage unit you need installed, Ernest is the right choice!
As a finish carpenter, Ernest loves to add those finishing touches that really make a house a home! It is amazing what adding certain features such as base, trim and crown moulding can do for a home. You can take design even a step further and add tons of character to your home with a custom designed board and batten, shiplap or wainscoting, feature wall. What's old is new again, so breathe new life into your space by adding some rich old-school design.
Prior to founding The Ernest Carpenter, Mandi worked for a basement finishing company in Centennial CO as a project manager. She would oversee projects from start to finish, walking the basements for both rough and final inspections to ensure all tasks were accomplished to specifications. She developed the flow and structure to ensure each project had as little down-time as possible, allowing the basement finishing company to go from one basement per month, to between six and eight basements per month with the same staff.
Mandi has been working in infrastructure, real estate and construction fields for the past 25 years. She also handles the architectural sketches, design concepts for our feature walls, and larger interior design projects that require a keen eye and accurate planning. As the project manager she keeps the projects flowing on time and on budget.
Often new furniture requires assembly; whether it's IKEA, Wayfair, Amazon, American Furniture warehouse, or others, if it needs to be assembled, Ernest is the man for the job! He calls them giant erector sets, and he loves building!
Ernest fine-tuned his carpentry skills when he worked for FW Manufacturing as a hospitality furniture builder. There he built a large variety of different furniture, including headboards, nightstands, media boards, wardrobes, coffee tables, tv consoles, and more! In addition, he can also install it and make repairs. Since our foundation, we've added 100s of furniture builds to our resume, so give us a call today!
Whether you need a new light installed, a faucet replaced, a closet system installed, or a large home improvement project tackled, The Ernest Carpenter will deliver professional skills at a fair price. It is our highest priority to get the job done right the first time on every assignment.
For the best price possible, you would handle the obtainment and pick up the materials, and we will install once all the materials are on site.
We are happy to guide you on what to purchase if you have questions. We are also happy to shop for you (in store or on-line), and depending on the extent, we may charge a fee for that service. We will shop based on your specifications, and the perimeter of the scope of work, budgetary needs and overall design outcome. The client is responsible for all purchases.
If you need help with transporting materials, or picking them up from the store or warehouse, we can help! Depending on the size of the material pack, we may opt to have the items delivered directly to the job site. For store pick-up, we will direct you on the best course of action for the obtainment of materials for the project, unless you have already handled that portion.
