Welcome to The Ernest Carpenter, your one-stop-shop for all your handyman needs. If your fence was built without sealing all sides, as was this case, your fence board will rot away and eventually the fence will become unstable. This fence was completely rotted out. The posts needed to be dug out and replaced. And it had to be built to the HOA standards for that community; and we did just that. We used treated wood, made for this purpose, and cut each picket to size. The results are beautiful and it will stand up to Colorado's harsh environment, with proper maintenance.
Ernest is dedicated to providing high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. He has the skills and expertise to get the job done right.
Each fence repair, or rebuild is different, so we need to come out and measure, and evaluate, and then we will provide a written quote.

If your fence is sagging, that means you have a post issues. Sometimes the pickets are fine, and it's just the post that needs to be dug out and reset with a new 4"x4" post, and sometimes the entire fence is bad and it needs to be rebuilt. It really just depends. Many of the different pickets are available, but sometimes they are speciality and needs to be ordered from the mill. We can also help source different pickets, if necessary.
Maintaining your fence and ensuring it is resealing at least once every 2 years is necessary for the longevity of your wood.
We can handle many different types of fence repairs, and usually fence repairs don't require a permit, unless your property is located in a historic parkway, or is a designated historical home.
Please check with your specific building division when it comes to a new fence build. Some require a General Contractor for a new fence build. New fences especially in older parts of Denver and Englewood will require a permit, with architectural drawings, and a survey to mark property lines. If you are in a historic district there are very specific guidelines for repairing your fencing, so please be sure to check.
